Except the calls come less now; they guess (correctly!) that I’m not moving.

No one hired for “Entry level java developer”, so the more senior positions are right fucked for talent. (I moved to DC because I couldn’t find entry level work.) Dunno. There might be a grand total of twenty people too few, but for the 500 of us doing this work full-time… I’m boggled by how easy it is to find work, if you’re willing to work hard to get it.

Having the name of you current employer on your list of credentials is also–I’m sure–a huge part of it (they only hire the best, right?).

Not that you weren’t the best before, but proving that to someone who doesn’t know you from dirt is hard

yeah there should be an intent clause for any patent… quick fix… if you are found not trying to progress the product to a sales stage, you should lose the patent.
