Okay, so I looked at my own Livejournal today without being logged in, and oh my, the ads are horrible to endure. I need to move my content elsewhere, but still have my LJ friends be able to follow it. I’m thinking WordPress on Dreamhost, since I already have an account there. Thoughts, comments, etc? [...]

Snoop Dogg and George Lopez play bingo using chat roulette. Predictable hilarity ensues. This one journal has a dude talking shit in the first person from the Illiad. So, what habits do you have that make your life easier or better in some way?

Reassessments

So, I got a friendly letter in the mail today telling me my house is being reassessed. Any suggestions on making that as painless as possible? Is it automated, or do homeowners get input, or? Something you get an accountant for, an attorney for, or just grin and bear it?

Stallone’s Movie

Sylvester Stallone makes an action movie. With Sly himself starring. And Jason Statham. And Jet Li. And Mickey Rourke. Also with Dolph Lundgren. Arnold Schwartzenager. And Bruce Willis. And Randy Couture, the UFC champ. And wrestling’s Steve Austin. And Terry Crews, the President in Idiocracy. If he only had Van Damme or Segal, that’d be [...]

The new job is aces. My coworker, project manager, our boss, and her boss; all aces. I got to present an idea for something intelligent today that might – eventually – actually get picked up and run with. I always used to find it impossible to save money in any kind of long term account. [...]

Wow. Tired. Spent hours tonight buying, building, installing, removing with a sawzall, and reinstalling a chin-up bar. Done. The BBC teaches nature photography, David Coffin teaches shirt making. This man bought a 1991 BMW 318 for $500 on Craigslist, entered a World Rally event, and took third. I nominate him as a Real American Hero, [...]

Size

I keep getting skinnier, without losing weight. I’m still 210 lbs or so, but am down to about a 34″ waist. As usual, I feel too thin, by an awful margin. I should head back to the gym, but it would be difficult to eat much more often than I already do. So, if the [...]

The tax return was a new change; bought a monitor to take into work, and paid back some tuition debt. So, was linked to this housing and transportation cost calculator. You find a location on the map, it shows you what the average household makes, what percentage of that goes to housing, and what goes [...]

Joined FourSquare, basically to track how much time I’m spending woodworking. Thanks to a tax break by Congress, I’m able to take an extra course this year, so I’ll get my degree three or four months earlier. Finally adapted to a *much* earlier schedule, and getting out of bed isn’t hard at all now. And [...]

The Russians built some crazy churches out of wood, this dog has a freakishly long tongue, and the 2005 Steelers didn’t win because of their running game. On the other hand, here’s what not to say to 60,000 nuns, and apparently, peak helium might also be a problem in our lifetimes. Weird. Work is great, [...]
